I'm not completely sure what I will do for a job, but I think engineering could be somewhere in my future and I would love to have it as a job.

Education

The first thing you need to be an engineer is a bachelor's degree in engineering, and you also need to be licensed. There are 14 different degrees you can get in engineering such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.

What you do as an engineer

As an engineer you create the blueprints of buildings that builders work off of. So engineers are the ones that create the design for buildings, they also make sure everything is structural, and some types of engineers also deal with electricity. The average salary of an engineer is $85,553 a year. Sometimes computer science is used in engineering because they layout what they are going to do in a virtual reality before they actually create it.
